Currently, Dallas Cowboys fans are up in arms over the team’s lack of action in free agency as Jerry Jones’ “all-in” promise feels more and more like lip service.
As of Tuesday evening, the only move the Cowboys have made in free agency is re-signing long snapper Trent Sieg to a one-year deal. Not exactly a thrilling move by any means.
However, it is pretty thrilling for Sieg himself. After news broke of the signing, the 28-year-old celebrated the occasion by sharing a hilarious video on his X account.
The long snapper posted an edited version of the music video to Eminem’s Without Me, specifically the part that features the lyrics “Guess who’s back, back again? Shady’s back, tell a friend.” Sieg edited his face onto Eminem’s, while also editing in two more Cowboys special-teams players in punter Bryan Anger and kicker Brandon Aubrey.
“Everybody, Just follow me!” Sieg wrote in the caption.
Sieg came to Dallas last offseason to replace Jake McQuaide at long snapper, and some “reporters” even confused the two on Tuesday morning due to their similar appearance and same No. 44 jersey. He proved to be a valuable addition, as he started all 18 games between the regular season and playoffs.
The Colorado State product signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent to begin his NFL career, but was waived before the start of the 2018 season. Sieg then went on to join the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, spending five seasons as their primary long snapper.
