Spencer Dinwiddie purchases a $7M mansion to celebrate the arrival of their second child

Spencer Dinwiddie is still winning off the court, even though his Dallas Mavericks were eliminated from the NBA playoffs this season following a heartbreaking Game 5 Western Conference Finals loss to the Golden State Warriors. The 6’5′′ guard recently finished a $26 million fundraising round for his Los Angeles-based cryptocurrency startup Calaxy and inked a three-year, $54 million contract.

According to Dirt, he has also acquired a brand-new, modern Craftsman-style mansion located in a gated community of just 26 residences in an integrated area between Malibu and Calabasas.

The property, which had been advertised for about $7.7 million in December, was eventually reduced to $7.2 million and sold to the 29-year-old Los Angeles native for a reduced $6.9 million.

Located on a 1.4-acre promontory land, Dinwiddie’s recently bought estate is tucked away along a long gated driveway. The description describes the dark brown and white-trimmed building, which was constructed in 2021 by “one of the most experienced and meticulous builders in Southern California.” It has a connected four-car garage on either side of the motorcourt.

Inside, 6,400 square feet of living space with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms are decorated with high ceilings, red oak hardwood flooring, and Italian light fixtures. There are numerous balconies and patios that offer uninterrupted views of the Santa Monica Mountains from indoor-outdoor spaces.

A wooden front entrance with a stone-columned portico above it lit by gas lanterns opens into an entryway with a wrought-iron staircase that winds around. From there, a wood-beam ceiling crowns the living area, which has a wet bar with wine storage and a stone fireplace extending all the way to the ceiling.

A formal dining room and a warm family room by the fireplace are two further highlights. Through a casual dining area, you can access the elegant gourmet kitchen, which is equipped with a large eat-in island, a butcher-block island, and premium Gaggeneau appliances. A charming patio with a fireplace and space for al fresco eating is accessible through pocketing glass doors.

An office/media room is located elsewhere on the main level. Upstairs is a luxurious master suite that spans over 1,000 square feet and features a walk-in closet, a sitting area, a balcony, a fireplace, and a luxurious bathroom with twin vanities, a two-person shower, a soaking tub, and a separate makeup area. This floor also features a den and four more ensuite bedrooms.

Expect to find an infinity-edge pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, and a fire-pit conversation area with steps leading to a gazebo on the private resort-like grounds. For good measure, a Crestron smart-home system is included.
