Kevіn Durаnt сouldn’t helр but exрress hіs аdmirаtion for Devіn Booker, ѕaying, ‘He’ѕ reаlly mаstering who he іs rіght now’

As the regular season approaches its conclusion, the admiration for Devin Booker is reaching new heights.

On the recent episode of Kevin Durant’s podcast “The ETCs,” released on Wednesday, the Brooklyn Nets star showered high praise on Booker while conversing with J.J. Redick on “The Old Man and the Three” podcast. This discussion occurred just a day after the Phoenix Suns secured their playoff spot by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, with Booker delivering a stellar 32-point performance.

“His game is aesthetically pleasing,” Durant remarked. “I believe he’s truly honing his skills at the moment. He’s discovering how to excel at an elite level while also achieving victories. Although he’s known for his scoring ability, he’s now demonstrating a profound understanding of winning.”

Durant’s praise for Booker isn’t new. Last year, during the Tokyo Olympics, Durant spoke highly of Booker.

“Many people admire him for his effortless scoring ability,” Durant told reporters after the U.S.A. defeated Spain. “But he’s much more than that. He’s a basketball savant who aspires to be an all-around player.”

Durant’s recent remarks follow former teammate Draymond Green, now with the Golden State Warriors, who declared Booker as his pick for MVP of the season.

While the criteria for MVP can vary, Booker has certainly made a strong case to be considered for the league’s top individual award.

This season, in 67 games, Booker is averaging 26.7 points, five rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game, playing an average of 34.3 minutes. He boasts shooting percentages of 46.5% from the field and 38.3% from beyond the arc.

“Devin Booker is the NBA MVP with his remarkable consistency,” Green stated on his podcast. “Despite facing injuries, he’s returned without missing a beat. His team continues to win, leading the NBA by a significant margin. Devin Booker is my MVP.”
