Inter Miami’s explosive new line-up with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Jesse Lingard

Inter Miami have enjoyed a fruitful spell of after securing two world-class signings. David Beckham’s MLS side are on course to become one of the most exciting teams outside of Europe, and could still add further quality to their ranks.

The most notable signing comes with World Cup winner and global super-star Lionel Messi making his way stateside. The move comes following two years at Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentinian joined Inter Miami on a free transfer with Messi and PSG agreeing not to extend his contract. The 37-year-old is set to join the MLS club for the League’s Cup opener against Mexican team Cruz Azul at DRV PNK Stadium on Friday, July 21.

With two Ligue 1 titles to his name in recent years, Messi has won almost every trophy football has to offer. Ten LaLiga titles, four Champions Leagues, eight Spanish SuperCups, one Copa America and one World Cup are just some of the titles to his name

The 36-year-old is still impressing at a high level with 22 goal contributions in 28 games. His recent moves come following a two year spell at Atletico Madrid where he lifted the LaLiga title for the fifth time in his career.

Despite not quite reaching the lofty heights as both Barcelona legends, Premier League journeyman Jesse Lingard could also be joining the pair in MLS. The 30-year-old is now a free agent following a year at Nottingham Forest and has recently been spotted training at Inter Miami’s facilities.

Lingard endured a difficult season under Steve Cooper which saw him only manage two goals and two assists. Previously the midfielder had been in electric form during a loan spell at West Ham United where he managed nine goals and five assists in 16 games for the Hammers.

The moves would be enough to strike fear in any MLS side if deals can be agreed. However, Inter Miami are not stopping there.

Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets has agreed a stunning deal to join the club following 16 years playing for the club at senior level. Fellow Camp Nou icon Jordi Alba could also be making his way to Miami with reports suggesting the left-back could be the next player to make the trip across the North Atlantic Ocean.
