SZA continues to win big with her recent sophomore album, “SOS.” This was initially released in December, and debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart. This was also SZA’s first number one album, as well as her first since “Ctrl” in June 2017.
Meanwhile, SZA has now reached another massive milestone with SOS. According to Chart Data, she now has the best selling female album in the US in the first half of 2023. SOS has sold over 2 million units this year, so far. The second spot is occupied by Taylor Swift’s “Midnights.” Furthermore, the third is held by “Mañana Será Bonito,” from Karol G.
SOS contained 23 songs, which were initially led by singles such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U” and “Shirt.” “Kill Bill” also went on to become a single, and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, this past April. This week, Kill Bill also became the most streamed song by a female artist in the US in the first half of 2023.
SZA’s second half of her SOS North American Tour is also kicking off, this fall. This will be on September 20, in Miami. These dates will run until October 29, where it’ll wrap up in Phoenix, AZ/
