Snoh Aalegra releases new single “Be My Summer”

The soulful songstress is back with a new hot single before the seasons change. Snoh Aalegra releases a new song titled “Be My Summer,” a perfect lovers serenade. This is her first official release of the year, following her 2022 single “Do 4 Love.” That single was a rendition of  Bobby Caldwell’s hit “What You Won’t Do For Love.” Although there were no previous posts promoting the single, new music could mean a new album is on the way.

Snoh Aalegra is one of loudest voices throughout rnb and soul music. Combining a mix of her airy and soft voice, with mellow rnb beats gave her a unique sound. Although Snoh Aalegra has been releasing music since 2009, it wasn’t until her debut studio album Feels in 2017, that she caught rnb’s attention. She followed up with her 2019 groundbreaking second studio album Ugh Those Feels Again, which landed at number 1 on the Billboard Adult Rnb Songs chart. A leading single “I Want You Around,” from that album was listed on Obama’s 2019 Summer playlist. After signing to Roc Nation/Universal Music Group in 2020, she released her third and most recent album Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies.

Last year, she finished her first headlining tour “Ugh These Temporary Highs,” in May with British artist Ama Lou. Her new single “Be My Summer” is written and co-produced by Ari PenSmith, Michael Uzowuru and Michael Heldman. The song details a lost lover finding their way back.
