Ice Spice named Billboard’s R&B/Hip-hop Rookie of the Year for 2023

The “Peoples Princess” is about to earn her highest honor to date. Ice Spice continues to lead the wave of new female rap in 2023. Less than two weeks ago she released the deluxe version of her debut EP, Like..?, adding four new additional singles. Fresh from her appearance at the Met Gala, her performance with Taylor Swift and her collaboration with Nicki Minaj, its clear Ice Spice is just getting started. Further adding to her impressive career, Ice Spice earned the tile of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the year for 2023.

The Bronx native is dominating streaming platforms and pop culture with style and influence. In only one year, Ice Spice has not only made a household name from her brand, she’s worked with some of today’s biggest music stars. After the release of her viral single “Munch,” in 2022, she followed up with the single “Bikini Bottom.” Proving to the rap world she’s more than a one-hit wonder, she released another single “In Ha Mood.”



Since then, Ice Spice has made her presence felt everywhere. Recently collaborating with Nicki Minaj on the “Princess Diana,” remix and “Barbie World”, she’s already taken over 2023. Ice Spice will receive her award August 8th, just two days before the one year anniversary of her debut single “Munch.” With over 41 million subscribers on Spotify alone, Ice Spice is name worthy of praise in female rap.
