Anthony Davis will remain with the Los Angeles Lakers at least until the end of the 2027-28 season, Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN reports.
According to Wojnarowski, Davis agreed on a 3-year $186 million max contract extension, tying him with the Lakers through 2028 for a total of $270 million deal.
On top of that, Davis landed the richest annual extension in NBA history at a $62 million yearly salary.
Last season, Davis averaged 25.9 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game in 56 appearances for the Lakers.
Davis joined the Lakers in 2019 after a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans. Since then, Davis became a champion with the Lakers in 2020.
He was also named an NBA All-Star in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.
Throughout his career as a Laker, Davis averages 24.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.1 blocks per game in 194 appearances for the team.
