Ukraine creates invisibility cloaks to avoid heat-detecting cameras and Russian drones

Ukraine has developed an invisibility cloak that blocks heat radiation, protects against heat-detecting cameras, including
Russian drones, helping soldiers become invisible to enemies.

On October 4, Mr. Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, announced that this invisibility cloak proved to be quite effective in protecting snipers or special forces groups performing combat missions.

According to Ukrainska Pravda newspaper , the shirt design is quite compact and light, weighing 2.5kg , and is also resistant to rain and snow . In addition, this cloak does not burn and protects soldiers from high temperatures.

Mr. Fedorov emphasized : “Invisibility cloaks are just one of the innovations that help save the lives of our soldiers on the front lines. We need even more.”

According to Mr. Fedorov, this technology has been tested in the field.

This technology was developed under the Brave1 defense initiative.

Brave1 is the Association for the Development of Defense Technology in Ukraine. Brave1 team and specialized experts provide financial, informational and organizational support to startups and developers to achieve technological superiority over Russia.

This is not the first ” invisibility cloak” to be developed. Canada had a similar design in 2019, but instead of blocking heat radiation, the design bent or refracted light.
